2nd class hove been working on their time telling skills since they got back from their Christmas holidays. We have been learning to tell the time in quarter-hours on both the analogue and digital clock. We made our own clocks and have been hip hoping around them getting lots of practice telling the time.
Here are the clocks that we made and our hip hop song. We stopped on the hour and hopped forwards and backwards in quarter and half hour intervals π

We used a stop watch to time how long it took us to walk around the school building,

We have a nice clock display on our wall to help us recognise where the clock hands are at important times during the day.
Hello Miss Breen. I have learnt how to read digital time. I have a digital alarm clock so I can read my alarm clock at any time of the day or night. It is a 24 hour alarm clock too!!!

My mum told me about this clock it is called the Speaking Clock. It can tell you the exact time whenever you want it. Me and my Mum looked it up and it was 06.30.17. My Grandad used to call the Speaking Clock every Sunday to set his clocks and watch.
Hi Miss Breen I just got a new clock but it tells digital time so I’m learning how to tell digital time right now it says that the time is 3:34 I loved my special homework with the sponges I felt really tall !!!π

Big Ben is a clock in the Palace of Westminster in London. You can set your watch by the time. It took 34 years to build Big Ben. He is 151 years old. It would take around a half an hour to Walk to the top of the tower.
