Antarctica and the Aurora Australis


After a great week of learning about the Arctic we moved onto learning about the Antarctic. We played a great game where we shared fun facts with our friends and tried to remember all of the facts as a whole class. Can you remember any of these facts now?

Although there are many similarities between the two poles there are also a lot of differences. Can you remember any of these?

    The blue tit is one of the first uses of food supplies
    Provided in the garden
    One of Ireland’s top-20 most wide-spread
    Garden bird

    I have some differences between the Arctic and Antarctica.The first one is that the Antarctic is colder. The second one is that penguins don’t live in the Arctic. The third one is that the southern lights are in the Antarctic and the northern lights are in the Arctic.

    I have some facts about Antarctica.The first one is that Antarctic is surrounded by the southern ocean. The second one is that Around 90% of the ice on earth is found in Antarctica.
